FAO 520
DESCRIPTION OF HYBRID
- A medium tall plant with a low ear insertion, dark and wide leaves.
- Early flowering and harmonized tasseling and silking provide excellent tolerance to drought and high temperatures.
- The ear is large and very healthy, always filled to the top with 18-20 dense rows of kernels. The stalk is very firm and healthy. No barren plants.
- An excellent tolerance to the European corn borer.
RECOMMENDATION
- For the production of dry kernels.
- An optimum ratio of the yield level and the rate of moisture release from the kernel brings a high profit.
PLANT POPULATION
The recommended sowing density in poorer conditions is from 64.000 to 66.000 plants/ha, in optimal conditions from 67.000 to 70.000 plants/ha and under irrigation conditions from 72.000 to 75.000 plants/ha.
